IDFC Investment Advisors Limited (IDFC IAL)

A wholly owned subsidiary of IDFC Asset Management Company Limited (IDFC AMC) was set-up in April 2006 to engage in the business of investment advisory and third party asset management business for clients in India and internationally – focusing primarily on alternative asset investments. IDFC IAL launched Hybrid Infrastructure Portfolio (HIP) and raised about Rs.459 crore from over 2000 retail high net worth investors in September 2009. The money raised shall be pre-dominantly deployed in unlisted securities.

IDFC AMC, a 100% subsidiary of Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IDFC) has average assets of more than Rs. 18,000 cr (more than $3.8 billion) in the public market space under management in July 2010.
